Better late than never, here's the videos from the service on September 14th.

The choir was back from their break and sang a medley that included Spirit of God and Abide With Me.

The congregation then sang two old time favorites, Are You Washed in the Blood and When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.

The offertory was More Precious Than Silver.

Sunday School Kickoff Party

Last Sunday, following the service, there was a Sunday School Kickoff party at Carla and Joe's house. We had a great turnout and tons of delicious food. Thank you to Carla, Joe, Collin and Chase for once again opening their home to the church.

This video shows some highlights of the party, including the cannonball contest. Make sure you watch until the end so that you can see the last of the "kids" doing his cannonball.

Last Saturday was the Chicken n Dumpling Dinner Fundraiser. Thanks to everyone who worked tirelessly to prepare such a delicious meal! We had a lot of great musical entertainment all throughout the evening.

Here's the first batch of camping trip pictures. Special thanks to Kelly, Jeff and everyone else who worked so hard to make this such a wonderful trip for everyone!

I will have more pictures in the near future. From what I've heard, these pictures include some of our boys scared by the ghost in a nearby graveyard. I'm looking forward to these!!

Testimony - September 7, 2008

The opening words of Judi's testimony provided a challenge to us all - "Are you a liar"? Judi talked about how easy it is (and how destructive it can be) to act one way at church, and then the minute you leave, you become a different person. She talked about how our example needs to be there all the time, because you never know who is watching.

Judi also quotes two great theologians - T.J. and Matt :)

The family theme continued following the testimony with John, Allison, Marshall, Bill, Robyn and Judi singing The Altar and the Door.

If you enjoyed this song, be sure to check out Casting Crowns' album entitled "The Altar and the Door".

Service Music - September 7, 2008

The service music was all about family this week.

Robyn and Allison opened the service with a mother-daughter duet by singing Come Follow Me.

Alyssa and Karyssa, who are twin sisters, and Caroline sang Lord I Lift Your Name On High.

The church family then sang Leaning on the Everlasting Arms. Special thanks to Glenn for dragging people on stage - we look forward to more of the same in the future. It is great to see so much of the congregation getting involved.

Be sure to watch for Lillie's dance on the 3rd verse. It is great to see people getting into the music! At Hemenway, we literally dance on the pews :)

Matt played Sing Alleluia as the offertory.

Fortunately for everyone involved, Matt did not dance or sing!

August 31, 2008 - Testimony

Robyn gave a testimony that talked about who are we, that God would notice us, no matter we are doing.

She followed it up with a song called Who Am I by Casting Crowns. She was accompanied by her son, Kyle, on piano.

August 31, 2008 - Service Music

The piano prelude to start the service was Shine Jesus Shine.

Cheryl and Caroline sang God of All, with Kyle playing the piano.

During the opening of worship, the congregation sang Above All.

The last song in the opening of worship was Come Now Is the Time To Worship.

It is great to see so many volunteers ready to help lead the songs.
